He was born on Nov. 28, 1928, in Gonzales, Texas, to Ennis Jerome and Martha Jane (Jacobs) Goodale.Bill honorably served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Travis Goodale; sisters Monie, Rainy, Rita, and Donna; and brothers Jerry, Buddy, and Bobby.Bill is survived by his sons, Randy Goodale Sr., Joe Matjeka, and Gunner Matjeka; grandchildren Randy Goodale Jr., Corey Goodale, Jennifer Matjeka, Gunner Matjeka Jr., and Ryan Matjeka; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.Visitation was held on Monday, March 18, at 5 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.A funeral service was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel, officiated by the Rev. Josh Walters.Interment was held on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. with full military honors in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. ...
